Glenn turned eleven at Mt. Norris Scout Reservation, provisional troop, and his Order of the Arrow ordeal coincided with the Apollo 11 moon landing. Troop 91's first Eagle Scout, a Philmont trek participant and former Explorer Post president, his involvement with scouting languished 40 years until his first MNSRAA spring work weekend in 2012. Today his passion is to see Mt. Norris Scout returned to its former glory for his grandson's generation. Glenn represents the alumni association as a member of the Green Mountain Council Executive Board. Glenn is a USAF Lt. Col. (Ret.). He is a member of Vermont Coverts-Woodlands for Wildlife, Inc. and Vermont Woodlands Association, Inc.

Brian Allen
Brian lives with his wife Karen in Grand Isle where they raised five children together. They have six grandchildren with another due in early July 2014. He has been involved in Boy Scouts since age eleven, attaining the rank of Eagle at age fifteen. Brian moved to Vermont in 1988 and became Cub Master of Pack 528 in 1991. After receiving the Cub Master Award he joined Boy Scout Troop 617,first as assistant scoutmaster, becoming scoutmaster in 1997. He continues to lead the troop and is a founding member of the MNSRAA. Brian has been to Philmont once as a youth and three times as an adult leader. He has earned the District Award of Merit, is a Vigil Honor member of the Order of the Arrow and member of the Boy Scouts of America's National Honor Society. He completed Wood Badge in the fall of 2013. Brian is yard manager at Ladd's Landing Marina in Grand Isle. Brian is grateful for his intrepid wife's patience; allowing him to spend countless hours "scouting".

Dick attended Mt. Norris as a youth camper in the mid 1950's and as a Scoutmaster in the early 1990's. Dick is a founding member of the Alumni Association and a Vigil honor member of Ajapeu lodge, Order of the Arrow. He is a committee member of Troop 894 in Johnson and Assistant District Commissioner in Three Rivers District. Dick retired from Vermont Electric Cooperative after 46 years. |
Russ Baker
Russ Baker has been involved with Scouting for over 20 years.
Along the way he has served in a number of ways: Program director at Mt. Norris Scout Reservation for the last 3 years Ethan Allen District Committee Chair 2019 Wood Badge Course Director Serve as Assistant Scoutmaster of Monkton Troop 525 (after serving as Scoutmaster for 13 years) Scoutmaster for the Green Mountain Council 2010 and 2013 National Jamboree Russ and his wife, Robin (also a Scouter) and have conducted the Intro to Outdoor Leader Skills (IOLS) class for the last 5 years. He is a recipient of the District award of merit, Silver Beaver, James E West, and OA Vigil member Russ has been married for 32 years and have two adult children (son and daughter) His hobbies include camping, hunting, golf, fishing, and moose shed hunting. Retired from IBM in 2016 after 37 years of service. Kevin McCullen

Clint Buxton
Clint attended many summers at Mt. Norris in the early 70’s and Staffed there in 1977. He had a brief hiatus of 40 years before returning as Camp Director at Mt. Norris the day after retiring from a career at IBM in 2017. Clint grew up and currently lives in Richmond with his bride Margaret in an ‘empty nest’ after raising 3 children. He went thru Cub/Boy Scouts and was awarded his Eagle way back in '77. He served as Den Leader and Scoutmaster amongst other positions. Currently he is an ASM of T23 & served as District Eagle Board of Review chair launching 101 Eagles. A Vigil member of the O/A, Silver Beaver recipient & Woodbadge Course Director for N3-592-17. Mt. Norris in in his blood, as his Grandfather was a Unit leader at Norris (and Zack Woods), his Dad was the 1st Program Director in 1954 & his son Mike staffed Climbing in 2006. Mt. Norris is a very special place that has changed many lives over the years.

Chris Bishop
During his Scouting years, Chris was an Eagle Scout, Order of the Arrow and Ad Altare Dei recipient, and worked at Mt. Norris Scout Reservation in the kitchen during 3 summers in high school. He has also previously served on the Green Mountain Council Board of Directors.
Chris joined the Alumni Association to help support Mt. Norris. He was senior management in his civilian career and retired as a Brigadier General with over 33 years in the military. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Vermont, Master of Arts Management from Webster University, and a Master of Arts in Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College, and is a graduate of Leadership Champlain. Chris enjoys woodworking, cycling, skiing, and boating. Chris and Janet live in South Burlington and have four adult children. |
